What you are buying
A validation is a short set of multiple-choice questions about an app you have listed, answered by people in the UK who hold an AppDrop account and have told us they want to earn. You are paying for completed answers. The price is £0.12 per answer: the number of questions times the number of people, with a minimum of £6 per validation.
Participants earn £0.05 of that for each answer. The rest pays for the service, the gift cards and the platform.
You are buying counts. What comes back is, for every option, how many people chose it and what share that is. You never receive personal data about the people who answered, and you cannot ask us for it.
Price, payment and VAT
The price is shown in full before you pay and is fixed at that moment. If our prices change later, a validation you have already paid for keeps its price. Payment is taken in advance through Stripe in pounds sterling. A validation opens only once Stripe has confirmed the payment to us.
VAT: App Drop UK Ltd [is / is not] registered for VAT. Prices are shown [inclusive of / exclusive of] VAT and any VAT is stated as a separate line before you pay. [Requires confirmation from an accountant.]
Stripe emails you a receipt for every payment. If you need an invoice in a company name, write to hello@appdrop.co.uk.
How long it stays open
A validation stays open for 30 days from the moment it opens, or until every answer is filled, whichever comes first. You cannot change the questions once you have paid, because people have already started answering them.
If the validation closes with answers unfilled, we refund the unfilled answers at the price per answer you paid, to the card you paid with. Answers that people have completed are not refundable. Stripe fees on the original payment are not returned to us, so we do not deduct anything further from your refund.
You may ask us to close a validation early by writing to hello@appdrop.co.uk. The same refund rule applies to the answers not yet filled.
What you may ask
Questions must be about the app you have listed, or a decision you are making for it. They must be lawful, honest and safe to answer. Do not ask for personal data, do not include anything you have no right to show, and do not use a validation to advertise, to run a competition, or to test something that is not the listed app.
Pictures you upload as options must be yours to use. We may refuse or close a validation that breaks these rules, and in that case we refund the unfilled answers only.
Answer quality
People answer in their own time and are paid per answer, not per opinion. We watch for rushed, duplicate and automated answers and we hold back or reverse rewards for them. If you believe a validation has attracted bad-faith answers, write to hello@appdrop.co.uk and we will look at the timing and pattern data we hold. Where we agree, we refill those answers at no cost to you.
You cannot dispute an answer because you disagree with it. Honest answers you did not want are the product working.
Using your results
The results are yours to use. You may show them on your app page with the switch on the results page, quote them elsewhere, and turn them off again at any time. If you publish them, describe them accurately: the number of people asked and the share per option, not a claim the numbers do not support.
We keep the counts and shares after your account closes, without any link to you or to the people who answered.
Our responsibility
We promise to open the validation you paid for, to show it to eligible participants, to count answers accurately, and to refund unfilled answers. We do not promise a validation will fill, that the people who answer are representative of any wider market, or that any decision you make on the results will work out. Our total liability for a validation is the amount you paid for it.
