Who we are
AppDrop is run by App Drop UK Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number [to be added], registered office [to be added]). You can reach us at hello@appdrop.co.uk.
These terms apply to everyone who visits AppDrop or holds an account. If you buy a validation, the Founder terms also apply. If you answer validations, the Participant terms also apply. Where they differ from this page, the more specific terms win.
Your account
You must be 18 or over to hold an account. One person, one account. You are responsible for what happens under it, so keep your sign-in email secure and tell us if you think someone else has used it.
There are no founder accounts or participant accounts. What you can do comes from what you post and what you tell us about yourself. You may do both.
We may refuse, suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we may do so without notice where the breach is serious or repeated. A suspended account can still read AppDrop but cannot post, comment, upvote, answer validations or redeem rewards.
Posting apps
Posting an app is free at any stage. When you post one you confirm that you own it, or have the owner’s permission to represent it, and that what you say about it is accurate. Keep the stage honest: Idea, Building or Live means what it says.
You keep the rights to everything you post. You give us a licence to display it on AppDrop, in our emails and in previews of AppDrop, for as long as it is on the site. You can edit or remove your app at any time, and removing it ends the licence except for copies already sent in emails or notifications.
Do not post anything unlawful, misleading, infringing, hateful, sexually explicit, or built to deceive people or harm their devices. Do not post an app you do not own in order to take credit for it.
Comments, upvotes and reports
Comments are public. Be direct and be decent. You may edit or delete your own comments. Do not use comments to advertise, harass, or post other people’s personal details.
Upvote what you find interesting. Do not create or use extra accounts, bots or exchanges to inflate upvotes, follows or comments. We may remove votes and posts that look manufactured, without explaining how we know.
Anyone with an account can report an app. We read every report, and we tell the founder only when we act on one.
Moderation
We may hide, edit or remove any app, comment, picture or profile detail that breaks these terms or that we reasonably think harms AppDrop or the people using it. We may also remove an avatar or picture that is not yours to use.
When we act on something you posted, we tell you through your notifications. If you think we got it wrong, write to hello@appdrop.co.uk from the address on your account.
Our content and yours
The AppDrop name, logo, design and code belong to App Drop UK Ltd. You may link to any page on AppDrop and quote short extracts with attribution. You may not copy the site, scrape it at scale, or present its content as your own.
Apps listed on AppDrop belong to the people who built them. Listing on AppDrop does not make us a party to anything between you and an app’s builder.
What we do not promise
AppDrop is provided as it is. We do not check the apps people post, and we do not promise that any app is safe, working, lawful or as described. Use your judgement before you install, sign up for or pay for anything you find here.
We do not promise the site will always be available or free of errors, and we may change or withdraw features at any time.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Beyond that, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of data, or any indirect loss, and our total liability to you in any twelve months is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
Closing your account
You can close your account by writing to hello@appdrop.co.uk from the address on your account. We remove your profile, and your apps and comments come down with it. Counts and shares in validation results are kept because they contain nothing about you. Any reward balance is handled as the Participant terms describe.
We may close accounts that have broken these terms, or that have been inactive for a long time after warning you by email.
Changes and the law
We may change these terms. If a change matters, we tell you by email or notification before it takes effect. Using AppDrop after that date means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK you may bring a claim in your local courts.
