Participant terms

The additional terms that apply when you answer validations and earn rewards.

Last updated 10 September 2026.

Draft. This document describes AppDrop as built and is awaiting professional legal review before launch. Text in square brackets is still to be confirmed.

Who can take part

You must be 18 or over and live in the UK. You tell us this, along with your birth month and year, when you set up the About you section of your profile. If we later find that either is not true, we close the participant side of your account and any rewards not yet redeemed are forfeited.

You can never answer a validation about an app you own. AppDrop prevents it, and trying to get round that is a breach of these terms.

Answering

One response per validation. When you start one, a place is held for you for a short time and the countdown is shown. If it runs out, the place goes back to the pool and you can start again if places remain.

Answer honestly, from your own view, and on your own. Do not use another person’s account, more than one account, scripts or automation, or answer at a speed that shows you did not read the question. Do not answer on behalf of a founder, or in exchange for anything from anyone but AppDrop.

Founders see counts and shares only. They never see who chose what, and they are never told your name, email, age band, gender, region, devices or interests.

Rewards

You earn £0.05 for every answer you complete, in pounds sterling, credited to a balance held by AppDrop. Each reward is pending for 48 hours after you finish, so that we can check it, and then becomes available. We may extend that hold for a validation while we review it.

Rewards are gift cards, not wages. Answering validations is not employment, and you are not working for App Drop UK Ltd or for any founder. You are responsible for any tax that may be due on rewards you receive. [Tax treatment requires professional review.]

Once your available balance reaches £5 you can choose a gift card from the brands we list, for any listed amount up to your balance. The rest of your balance carries forward. Balances do not expire while your account is open.

Gift cards

Gift cards are issued by a third-party provider and are subject to the brand’s own terms, including any expiry date on the card itself. We show you the claim link on your Rewards page and send it to your email. Keep it safe: a claimed card cannot be re-issued.

A gift card cannot be exchanged or refunded once issued. If a redemption fails before the card is issued, the amount returns to your balance. If you think a card was not delivered, tell us at hello@appdrop.co.uk and we check with the provider.

The brands on offer may change. We will always list at least one card you can redeem for at the minimum amount.

Held and reversed rewards

We hold back or reverse rewards for answers that were rushed, duplicated, automated, or given from more than one account, and for anything else that breaks these terms. We look at timing and patterns across many answers, not at what you chose. A founder cannot have your reward reversed because they disagreed with your answer.

If we hold or reverse a reward you are told through your notifications, with the reason where we can give one. Serious or repeated problems lead to suspension. If you think we got it wrong, write to hello@appdrop.co.uk from the address on your account.

Leaving

You can stop taking part at any time: simply stop answering. Your balance stays and you can still redeem it. If you want the About you details removed from your profile, write to hello@appdrop.co.uk from the address on your account.

If you close your account with an available balance at or above the minimum, redeem it first. If you close with a balance below the minimum, tell us and we issue the nearest listed card we can, or hold the balance for 90 days in case you return. Balances forfeited for breaking these terms are not paid out.
